- 2010 Fall Quarter Updates
We’ll be having our regular weekly Bible studies for the Fall quarter on Tuesday nights at 7:30pm in Ackerman 3517.
We’ll also be having Fellowship Nights on Fridays throughout the quarter. Stay tuned for updates on what kind of events we’ll be having. You can be sure its gonna involve food, hanging out, going places, and doing a little bit of everything.
- Summer Bible Study
Schools out but we’re still having get-togethers in the summer. Not quite bible study like we do during the academic year but we are joining in with Life Baptist Church and their Summer Bible Institute (SBI).
From July 9th through August 16th, we’ll be having a Summer Bible Institute at Life Baptist Church on Fridays at 7:30pm. There are a variety of classes to choose from, including “How to Give Away Your Faith”, “Survival Kit 1 & 2″ and “Reason for God.”
Contact us for more details if you are interested or check out their SBI page.
- Summer
Around for summer session? So are we. We’ll be getting together for trips and outings so stay tuned!
Today at 7pm, we’re getting together for dinner, praise and to hang out. We’re also welcoming back and hearing from some of the members from LCF who got to be part of the summer mission trips.
We’ll also be getting together on July 2nd. Look for more information to come.
- Post-Finals-Pre-Summer-Wind-Down
This is it! The last LCF event of the year.
Come hang out, relax, unwind, vent, take out your frustrations and share your joys with us as we eat, play Foosball, table tennis, games and send you off to summer with a little a really full belly. Master chef Grace I’m sure is concocting some delicious menu for us… can’t wait…
(We take eating seriously if you haven’t figured that out about us yet. Don’t believe me, look at our photos; if it ain’t about food, it ain’t being posted)
- Finals week is here… but so are some good things coming up
The year is almost ended! Last week we wrapped up our last bible study of the quarter. It’s been a memorable year of in-depth bible studies, trips, college retreats, eating out and fellowship together.
As this last year has shown ramen, korean bbq and chinese food all taste even better late night. Here are photos from late night dinner in Alhambra after last week’s bible study:

And we also brought out a surprise birthday cake…

Before finals week starts we’ll be meeting up all together for dinner this Friday (6/4) at 7pm. We’ll be bringing in dinner. Find our table nearby Panda Express in Ackerman Student Union.
If you’re around during the summer, check back since we’ll be meeting up over the summer and will have pick-ups for sunday worship service at Life Baptist Church.
- Why Jesus Matters
Join us for our continuing series, “Why God Matters” exploring the reality of God and His relevance to our lives (Friday 7pm, Ackerman 2408).
This is our final meeting in the series. Its all been building towards this really. Come find out why Jesus is most important person who ever lived and died in the history of mankind and why He is more relevant to your life than anyone else you know.
- Memorial Day Picnic – 5/31
Okay, you’re entering the home stretch of the Spring quarter and academic year. You’ve got a three day weekend to study and ramp up for finals. But its probably time for a nice study break too. Here’s one way to take this break with great food, games, and serious relaxation at the park and enjoying the sun and fellowship.
We’ll be going to Syd Kronenthal Park in Culver City (15min from campus) for a Memorial Day Picnic. We’re joining up with Life Baptist Church and other LCF groups. The picnic starts at 11am.
For those who want a little more action, there will be a co-ed softball game starting at 9am. Doesn’t matter if you know how to play or not, just come take a hack at the ball. Dress appropriately and bring a glove if you have one.
Pickups will be arranged on campus for both 9am and 11am. Please contact LCF if you have any questions.
- Why God Matters – The Bible
Join us for our continuing series, ”Why God Matters” exploring the reality of God and His relevance to our lives (Friday 7pm, Ackerman 3517).
How do we know the Bible is reliable? It was written so long ago, is it still relevant? Is there historical evidence for the accuracy of the Bible? These are some of the questions we’ll discuss this week as we explore the reality of His word and why it does matter still today.
- Why God Matters – Humanity
Join us for our continuing series, ”Why God Matters” exploring the reality of God and His relevance to our lives (Friday 7pm, the Annex at Life Baptist Church).
This week we’ll discuss why God matters to humanity. Can man live without God? It’s a question we all need to ask. Come find out what the answer is.
Afterwards, we’ll be having Gym Night with the LCF Grad group. Should be a lot of fun so wear comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes (i.e. be ready to move your body, get the blood flowing)
- Why God Matters – Relationships
Join us for our continuing series, ”Why God Matters” exploring the reality of God and His relevance to our lives (Friday 7pm, Ackerman 2408).
This week we’ll discuss why God matters in relationships and how we can develop deep and meaningful relationships with God and with other people.
