- Passion Week
During the passion week (week 1) we’ll be meeting up for a couple of events:
Morning Prayer at Bruin Cafe 7am to 8am (Mon 3/29 thru Fri 4/2) – Come start your day reading the Bible, and praying together
Welcome Back Dinner 7pm at Ackerman Food Court (by Panda Express) – We’ll have dinner ready. Stop by and chat with us.
Good Friday Worship Service at Life Baptist Church (4/2) – We’ll have pick ups from the De Neve. More info to come.
Sunday Sunrise Easter Service at the beach (4/4) – We’ll have pick ups from the De Neve. More info to come.
Easter Worship Service at Life Baptist Church (4/4) – Pick ups at De Neve at 3:30pm.
- The Journey: A Thinking Person’s Quest for Meaning
We invite you to go with us to attend an event on campus hosted by The Veritas Forum at UCLA. Sociologist Os Guinness will discuss whether belief in God is good, bad or irrelevant through exploration of “The Journey: A Thinking Person’s Quest for Meaning”. The event will be at Korn Convocation Hall in the Anderson School of Management, April 7th at 7:00pm.

- Last bible study of the quarter
For our last bible study this quarter we won’t be in Ackerman 2408. We’ll be meeting in the Annex room at Life Baptist Church. If you need a ride there’ll be pick ups at 6:30pm from De Neve turnaround.
Next week we’ll be meeting up for dinner at Ackerman food court on Level 1 by Panda express (Friday 3/5 at 6:30pm). We’ll be bringing food, so come out for a study break and come hungry.
- Spring break
This spring break we’re taking a road trip to Utah and going skiing (3/25-3/28).
Later that weekend, we’ll be joining up with other college students from Alabama to serve in Venice beach along with a local church planter.

- This week’s Bible study
Change of location this week Friday (2/12). We’re going to be meeting for Bible study at the Annex rec room at Life Baptist Church, located 10 mins away from campus. Pastor Daniel from Life Baptist Church will be leading the Bible study. We’ll have pick-ups at 6:30pm from De Neve turnaround. Let us know if you’re coming so we can make sure there’s a ride for you.
Next week Fri (2/19) we’ll be back in our regular room, Ackerman 2408, at 7pm.

Here are some photos from our winter retreat last weekend with LCF at USC. It was a great time to start off this year studying the word of God and also to pray. We also drove to Mountain High and went tubing down the slopes.

- Thanksgiving
Hope you all had a good break. Feels like a very full weekend– with turkey and also lot of good times together.
It started off with ThanksgivingFest with Life Baptist Church– with lots of memories to take away from all the practices, dancing, singing and skits. Here’s a recap of some of the skits:
For those of us who were around over the break, Pastor Daniel and Sue opened up their home for thanksgiving dinner. Friday night James and Grace also opened up their place to hang out. Here are some photos from dinner at James and Grace’s place:
And last Saturday we got together to share what we were thankful for, and give praise to God for who He is.

Friday
Fall Retreat
This week, in place of our regular bible study on campus we’ll be having our Fall Retreat with Life Baptist Church from Friday (10/30) to Sunday (11/1). The speaker will be Pastor Don Overstreet, who is a church planter in the LA area. He’s spoken at Life Baptist before, and his personal experience of God really comes through the messages.
In between bible study messages, we’ll have time to pray, share, play games and study up for midterms. You really don’t want to miss this. It’s not too late to sign up, just contact us for more info.

Pick ups will be at 3:30PM at De Neve turnaround. Contact us for more info and to let us know you’re coming so we can make sure you have a ride.
- Friday Night Bible Study
Starting this week (10/2), we’ll have our weekly bible studies Friday nights, 7pm, in Ackerman 2408. If you’re a christian or a non-christian, we welcome you to join us for bible study. We’ll be covering the topics “Life in Christ” and “Life together”.
